Lucy and Bronwen have been friends for over 30 years. We share the same values and the same commitment to see a better future for our communities.

When we look at our current political system, we see a system that prioritises party interests over constituent interests; a system where maintaining power is paramount over getting things done; where rancour comes before collegiality.

We want to be a part of changing that. We want to see a Parliament that represents the people’s interests; that’s willing to be imaginative in the ways it solves problems; that’s willing to embrace change.

Our proposal to job-share is grounded in solid legal principles and best-in-class legal support. We know that together we can do better for all Victorians. Better on action on climate change, better on alleviating cost of living pressures and better on a more accountable government.

We stand for a new era of politics - where collaboration and inclusivity drive innovative policies and meaningful change for all Australians.

But we don’t want to do it alone. Neither of us is in a position to be able to commit to the relentless working hours of being a Member of Parliament, including travel to Canberra for up to 22 weeks a year.

That’s why we are running as an independent job-sharing candidate for the Senate in the next federal election. Our partnership is based on thirty years of friendship, trust and respect. By working together, we will bring two sets of skills and experience to the role.
